Loretta E. Krause, 81 a long-time Janesville resident passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Edgerton Care Center where she had made her home for the past 4 years. Loretta was born in Wonewoc, WI on November 5, 1932, the daughter of John and Margaret (Lucht) Monskey. She graduated from Elroy High School. Loretta married Robert G. Krause on February 18, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2010. She was employed in the office of Parker Pen Company for 25 years and was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are one son, Douglas (Susan) Krause of Fort Wayne, IN, three grandchildren, Sharon (Eric Fischer) Krause of Janesville, Monica Krause of Washington, DC, Tony Krause of Auburn Hills, MI, two brothers, Eugene (Pat) Monskey and Richard Monskey as well as a  sister-in-law, Karen Monskey, many nieces, nephews and cousins.. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gerall Monskey.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor James Janke officiating. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be at St. Matthew’s Church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Edgerton Care Center. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
